About the Charity
Honoring HeroesHonoring Heroes is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting United States veterans and active duty military. We let veterans and military families know that their service and sacrifices are appreciated and remembered. We raise funds to support local and national organizations that benefit veterans and their families. We create more awareness of the sacrifices military veterans and military families have made on behalf of our nation. Honoring Heroes is comprised of unpaid volunteers who strongly believe in giving back to our nation’s veterans and active duty military. Since the genesis of our non-profit incorporation began in 2009, we have participated in many successful projects through various fund raising efforts. Some of these fundraisers were poker runs, raffles, t-shirt sales, silent auctions, benefit food sales, collecting deposit cans & bottles, etc.
My master car builder and I have rescued this tired 71 1800E Volvo. We are doing a custom build that will give the car modern running gear & electronics while maintaining a cleaner but relatively stock exterior/interior. Should be fun!
Thanks to builder John Long for his great effort & enthusiasm on the Captain Wayne Hammett tribute car. My dad ordered one of these for Unc in 1966. It was the coolest car I had ever seen and I had already seen some pretty cool stuff. Wayne was/is a true hero to me and my family.
We're very pleased that we can also make this a fundraiser to help the nonprofit, Honoring Heroes. Their goals are to:
- Let veterans and military families know that their service and sacrifices are appreciated and remembered.
- Raise funds to support local and national organizations that benefit veterans and their families.
- Create more awareness of the sacrifices military veterans and military families have made on behalf of our nation
Thanks so much for sharing in our journey and any support you can provide to this great cause.
Cheers! -JFH
