About the CharityCalifornia Fire Foundation
We are on the ground, distributing financial assistance to people who have lost everything in the fires. Through our SAVE emergency assistance program, CFF firefighters distribute pre-paid gift cards to help those who need to purchase necessities like food, medicine and clothing. Your donations are tax-deductible.
We are bringing a volunteer group of artists together to raise funds for the California Fire Foundation, who support firefighters and communities in protecting life, property, and the environment by distributing financial assistance to people who have lost everything in the fires. Through its emergency assistance program, CFF firefighters distribute pre-paid gift cards to help those who need to purchase necessities like food, medicine and clothing.
The artists who are participating in this fundraising movement are from all over the country. They all share a compassionate desire to help support and assist with recovery from the devastating California wildfires, as well as to help educate about the environment and care of our natural resources.
Each artist has been asked to create something that helps tell a story about the wildfires. Using natural materials is encouraged and as is the point of all funddeed projects, we want to see and hear about the process as much as appreciating the final outcomes. Some submissions involve wood burning, which is intended to show the beauty that can come from the same environment and materials that combine to cause such destruction.
We hope you enjoy all the stories, talents and amazing creations that come from this organic collaboration of caring artists. And we hope you will generously give and share this with others so that we can help the California Firefighters Foundation and communities that have been hit so hard by wildfires. Your support is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
TO SUBMIT TO THE PROJECT
If you want to submit video or stories to be included in this Wildfire Project, you can provide any of the following, and send it to our email at firstname.lastname@example.org:
• A video link or url from youtube or vimeo
• Raw video emailed from sharing service such as, wesendit.com, box.com, dropbox.com, etc.
• Images and copy/text sent as zip file, or via sharing services mentioned above
We are looking for engaging videos of artists sharing "your creative gesture or offering” - share the story of what you are working on, share your thoughts related to the fires, or do a special piece and share the progress. You keep what you create, we aren't asking for art to be donated, or auctioned, and we are not selling any art - only raising awareness through creative actions.
We will be adding new posts to the story as they come in, and the project will grow organically with the circles of all those contributing. If anyone wants to know the breakdown of fees, it's 14% (10% to funddeed, 4% to pandapay) so the nonprofit (in this case, California Fire Foundation) gets $.86 of every $1.00 donated. That is in line with most fundraising platforms. Nonprofits pay no up-front costs or fees, so it is all supplemental unrestricted funds for them.
If you have questions you can use the funddeed site chat to the right, or email us at email@example.com
ALL SUBMISSIONS CAN BE EMAILED TO - firstname.lastname@example.org
Please add "Wildfire Project" to the subject. Once we receive your submission, we will review and contact you when it is posted here on the project page updates. Thank you for your participation and support!
